Will you follow me on this journey into the unknown realm of social media and content marketing?
The field is popping, the times are a’changin, and for the first time ever, we can shout our name, idea, or passion to a listening world without needing fame or mounds of cash. The times have blessed us; technology bestowed its kindness on us. Now, we can step out and embrace its goodness. But that goodness will not just come knockin’ on our door. We gotta first embrace the unknown, and we need to let our outer skin of old molt away; because, what stands before us glows like nothing we’ve seen before. Our eyes will not open to see this light if we don’t freshen our minds and bolden our hearts. We can’t take part in the social revolution if we don’t hold passion for the listening hearts in our world. We gotta love embracing fresh relationships in a whole new way.
I’m completely serious. Do my words seem extreme to you? Do my words seem farfetched? Do you think I’m trying to be a sensationalist for sensation’s sake?
If yes, then please go somewhere else. This series won’t be for you.
If no, then let’s take this journey together.
And before we cannonball into this vast unknown ocean of opportunity, I want to make a quick disclaimer. Please, don’t consider me an expert. If you do, you’ll only be disappointed. Rather, look at me as a companion. We’re canoeing the rapids of changing currents together -the currents of social influence, social engagement, social attraction, and social understanding. Welcome to the new world. Take a step in, and you’ll be a part of the first wave of social change.
The rewards are great.
If you’re an organization, you offer a product that solves people’s problems. You’re offering an idea, a passion, and you want to share it with the world. For the first time ever, the world is connected and paying attention. Realize this, and your name will grow.
If you’re an individual, you are like no one else on the entire planet, and there are thousands of people wanting to connect and network with you. And we all know, great minds think alike.
